Dr. White is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine
and Anti-Aging. He also has a strong interest in Environmental Medicine
from the common to the complex chronic conditions.
His
emphasis is in treating adults (18 or older) with a broad range
of chronic diseases such as Hypertension, Diabetes, Cardiovascular
Disease, Endocrine Disorders, Arthritis, Obesity, Gastrointestinal
Diseases, Chronic Fatigue, Fibromyalgia Neurodegenerative Disease
and other complex chronic diseases associated with aging. He also
sees minor emergencies and ailments on a walk-in basis as scheduling
permits.

it necessary to have a referral to be seen at Optimum Health Wellness

Dr.
White welcomes physician referrals; however, you may self refer
to OHWC by calling for an appointment at 601.366.7447.
What
is Anti-Aging Medicine?
Anti-Aging
Medicine is simply preventive medicine. It involves an aggressive
approach to prevention, early detection and often the reversal of
age related diseases utilizing evidence based scientific studies
from worldwide literature.
Do
you take private health insurance plans?
Yes,
we take most private health insurance plans. However, you are responsible
for services that may not be covered by your insurance. Please contact

Do
you take Medicare with Medicaid?
Yes,
we take Medicare with Medicaid as co-payer. You are responsible
for services that are not covered by this plan.
Is
OHWC an Alternative Medicine Practice?
Not
exclusively, OHWC does embrace some treatment modalities that may
not be utilized by all conventional medical practitioners. However,
its treatments are safe and based on scientific literature and the
test of time. Some of our work can be considered complimentary and
alternative. Our goal is to help people feel well and achieve their
optimum health potential by seeking to restore balance to systems
that are malfunctioning.
Do
you have a weight loss program?
Yes.
Dr. White’s belief is that exercise and proper nutrition is
an indispensable component to optimizing our client’s state
of health. Successful weight loss and maintenance of optimum weight
is a secondary benefit to achieving an optimum state of health through
the treatment approach and health seminars available to OHWC’s
patients. Dr. White works one on one with his obese patients whose
goal is to lose weight.
Seminars
Nutrition classes are taught on a weekly basis and are available
first to OHWC patients/clients. The general community may attend
the classes on a space available basis.
We
have a small fitness gym dedicated to our clients for exercise
training. The exercise programs are individualized to the person’s
needs and conditions. OHI has certified personal trainers available
who work with our patients and spa clients to safely guide them
to a higher level of physical fitness and well being.
How
should I prepare for a visit to the OHI Wellness Clinic?
When
you make an appointment at OHI, you will receive documents in the
mail to be completed prior to coming for your appointment. You may
download these documents from our website.
You must arrive 30 minutes before your scheduled appointment. Bring
your medical history summary from your previous physician, if possible.
Also bring a list of the medications, herbs, vitamins and supplements
that you are taking.
Your
efforts to complete these documents are appreciated. It will help
Dr. White evaluate you more thoroughly and efficiently.
